• About

Hello, my name is Judi Watkinson. I'm an independent inclusive design and access consultant helping to make buildings and the external environment easy to use, inviting and accessible. I work with architects, designers, charities, voluntary, public and private organisations to provide expert advice on the design and accessibility of the built environment and services offered in relation to the Equality Act 2010 (formerly the Disability Discrimination Act - DDA).

Since 2004, I have specialised in providing access consultancy services for many different types of environments including commercial workplace / offices, hotels / leisure, large scale events spaces, colleges, schools, churches, parks, historic listed buildings and Heritage Lottery funded projects. This has involved me providing inclusive design and access consultancy on small projects through to masterplanning on major projects.

With more than 25 years professional experience working as a commercial interior designer / strategic space planner in London and 16 years as an NRAC accredited access consultant, I bring an experienced and specialist creative skillset to a project. I'm a Member of the Chartered Society of Designers (Interior Design Discipline), a Consultant Member of the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC) and a member of the Access Association.

I'm proud to live in the wonderfully creative and inclusive seaside city of Brighton & Hove and work throughout London & the South East.

Please take a look around and let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help.
